Back to School Clothes! Girls Edition

As I head back to work (already) and start to prepare my classroom for my new 6th grade arrivals, I wanted to shift gears.  Back to school used to be the best time of the school year for me as a child. I loved ALL of the back to school shopping. New clothes, new supplies, a fresh start.  Now that I’m older, and a teacher, back to school isn’t as exciting. It can tend to be a little stressful.  This got me to thinking how stressful this time of year may be for parents getting their kids ready for school. So for this and next week’s Make-Over Monday, we’re looking at Target’s new line of clothes (Cat & Jack) for some cute back to school trends. And the best part about Cat & Jack is the clothes are super stylish, yet majorly affordable. Now until August 13th, get up to 30% off kids clothing.

With the current political situation happening, I just couldn’t resist this cute tee promoting young girls to want to be president.
Isn’t this tee super uplifting? Tees with messages like this can really be influential to a child’s self esteem. Other message tees like this one are also available, such as Game Changer, Yes I Can, Never Underestimate the Power of a Girl, and Kindness Matters.

This entire look is too cute. What I love most about Cat & Jack clothing is that it’s trendy yet age appropriate.

Aren’t these pink skinnies adorbs?  I love the layering and the mixing prints. The best part about this outfit, is it’s versatility. It can be worn for all 4 seasons. Talk about a bang for your buck.

Perfect for school days or the playground, these girls’ pants pair a casual, comfy fabric with an on-trend cut.

This cute Grey and Gold drawstring dress is so functional. Pair it with a sweatshirt, flats, and some leggings as pictured, and your darling daughter can be as active at school as she wants to be.

This super cute textured dress can be dressed down with a hoodie and sneakers or dressed up with a cardi and some adorable flats like these.
With these looks, your little girl can be as stylish as mom, but still look age appropriate, be school appropriate, and all for less than $20.
