Fall 2022 Bible Study | Giving Thanks

It’s Fall and time for this season’s Bible Study Guide. Each Fall, for the past four years, I have centered our Bible Study around gratitude. This year has truly been a blessing for my family, and I have so much to give God thanks for. So, as we enter this season of giving thanks, I thought we would continue in the tradition of focusing our Fall Bible on being thankful.

For the next twelve  weeks, you will meditate on one scripture of thanks each week. These scriptures should be added to your morning devotion and/or nightly reading found below.

  • Week 2 – Psalm 100
  • Week 3 – Psalm 136:1-5
  • Week 4 – Psalm 92:1-5
  • Week 5 –  Psalm 105:1-5
  • Week 6 – Psalm 103:1-12
  • Week 7 – James 1:16-18
  • Week 8 – Psalm 33:1-5

Morning Devotion
Daily readings of praise from the Book of Psalms.
  • Sunday – Psalms 113
  • Monday – Psalms 146
  • Tuesday – Psalms 147
  • Wednesday – Psalms 148
  • Thursday – Psalms 149

Daily Reading of Proverbs

Each day, continue to read the chapter of Proverbs that corresponds to that day. If this is your first time joining our seasonal Bible Study Guide, if the date is September 23rd, you would read Proverbs 23.

Nightly Reading

Each night, end your night with gratitude and praise by reading;

  • Psalm 23
  • Psalm 63
  • Matthew 6:9-13 (the Lord’s Prayer)

Prayer

I always go into prayer after my morning and nightly Bible Readings. For these prayer times, I use my Prayer boards on Pinterest.

In the morning, I also do a personal prayer before going to work each day. And don’t forget to pray throughout the day!
