5 Fun Things to do For Galentine’s Day

Is it really almost Valentine’s Day? Better yet, is it really almost Galentine’s Day?

For today, I am sharing 5 fun things to do with your girls for Galentine’s Day, or any day you want to have some fun girl’s time. Since Galentine’s Day is all about ladies celebrating ladies, I’ve picked some fun activities where we ladies can do just that!

  1. Host Your Own Galentine’s Day Favorite Things Party

Invite all of your gal-pals over for a fun day/night of all of your favorite things.  Come up with a theme, buy the decorations, search Pinterest for fun game ideas, set your menu, and have everyone bring one (or two) of their favorite things to share with the others.  Whether single or married, this fun event is sure to make it to your yearly traditions list.

  1. Chick Flick Movie Night

Who doesn’t enjoy a night relaxing with friends watching your favorite chick flick laughing away? Select 2 -3 of your pals’ favorite movies (does not have to be chick flicks), make a list of treats to bring. Set up some popcorn, ice cream, and coffee bars filled with all of your favorites. Create a warm and cozy environment with cute decorations. Bring out the blankets, and have some fun! A great movie to watch for this Galentine’s event is Girls Trip. This movie is sure to entertain every one of your friends’ personality types.

  1. Galentine’s Day Gift Exchange

Move over bridal showers when the bride is the only one getting a gift. Start hosting Galentine’s Day Gift Exchange parties where everyone gets a gift and gets to get pampered like a queen.  So yeah, I totally just made this idea up, but you know it is THE BEST IDEA EVER! Pick a location, get your pretty girly decor, invite your best girl-friends, create a random generator to distribute who gets whom’s gift, set the menu, and pick your pampering activities.

  1. Cocktail Party

Make some fun specialty drinks together. You know I don’t drink so virgin versions are still fun. You can even put a spin on this and add smoothies, coffee (hot and cold), and even mixed fruit juices. As with every other event, don’t forget about the menu. For this “cocktail” party, serve some fun appetizers and desserts.

  1. Craft Party

As an artist, I could not leave this out. Even the most uncreative person will still have fun at a craft party. Pick a craft that will work for your friends and have some fun. You can even make it into a contest for best and/or worst creation to have some humor.

Some great ideas for a craft party include:

  • Paint and Sip
  • Wreaths
  • DIY Candles
  • Jewelry
  • DIY Facial Mask/ Body Scrub
