highs and lows of 2018

Highs and Lows of 2018, So Far

Hey Loves! Since we’re halfway through the year, I thought I would stop by with a life update. Am I living my best life? Am I closer to changing careers? Am I achieving my goals?

Questions, questions, so many questions. So, to make this more interesting, I’m sharing my top highs and lows of the year so far.

Let’s start off with the lows so we can end on a more positive note.

Lows of 2018
  1. 45 is still president
  2. America is more divided than ever because 45 is still president
  3. My 4th IUI (March 2018) was not successful
  4. I’m not pregnant because my 4th IUI was not successful
  5. I’m still not done with my home renovations
  6. I didn’t get the exact job I wanted for teaching
  7. Getting the Flu for the first time in my life
  8. Even with more collabs, I’m not closer to switching careers
  9. I’m still dealing with the pain in my upper back/shoulders

Highs of 2018
  1. I’m getting more collaborations for my brand
  2. Getting a major collaboration with Walt Disney World Theme parks
  3. Going to Disney for my birthday, courtesy of WDW Theme parks
  4. Getting two job offers in one day, which just happened to be my birthday
  5. Resigning from my former job
  6. Designing my office/studio
  7. Still having my sanity after such a rough year
  8. I’m feeling more optimistic about life
  9. I’m finally at a place where I’m ready to be active in the church again
  10. I’ve done more traveling
  11. I have a good bill of  health

So, minus my first two lows, which really aren’t lows specifically for me per say, it looks like 2018 is on a more positive stride. I clearly came out with more highs than lows. Now that I will be teaching at a new school in my former county, I know my school year will be more positive and less stressful. And, that will eliminate a lot of the negativity I was facing last year. I’m not saying the stress has vanished, unfortunately, I’m still dealing with the side effects of the stress. But, with less stress, I will be more successful with many of my goals.

xoxo Tish
