12 Bible Verses For The Broken Woman

Today I was reminded during a conversation with one of my students, just how broken we all are.

We hurt from loss. We hurt from gain. We struggle with the challenges life brings us and can often feel broken from all of the pain.

The good thing in all of this is that we have the best counselor in Jesus to help us with our grief. God gives us the comforting we need right in the Bible, so of course, that’s where I’m directing you today.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches. 1 Corinthians 7:17

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart forever. Psalm 73:26

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

For He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.” Hebrews 13:5-6

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:9

Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
