I am Forgiven

We have finally made it to our last promise; I am Forgiven.  I thought I would save this one for last. It can be hard to ask for and accept forgiveness when you don’t feel valued, gifted, purposed, believe you are free, blessed or filled with hope.

Psalm 103:8-12

The Lord is merciful and gracious,

   slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

He will not always chide,

   nor will he keep his anger forever.

He does not deal with us according to our sins,

   nor repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

   so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,

   so far does he remove our transgressions from us. (KJV)

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let us reason[a] together, says the Lord:

though your sins are like scarlet,

   they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red like crimson,

   they shall become like wool. (KJV)

Acts 10:43

To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (ESV)

Romans 8:1

Life in the Spirit

Ephesians 1:7-10

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known[a] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. (ESV)

Colossians 1:13-14

He rescued us from the control of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. 14 He set us free through the Son and forgave our sins. (CEB)

1 John 1:9

But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from everything we’ve done wrong. (CEB)
