Top 5 Bible Verses to Help You Sleep

Stress and Anxiety can lead to many sleepless nights. It’s extremely hard to relax enough to fall asleep when you have thousands of thoughts running through your head. So as we get ready to close out April, and Stress Awareness Month, I am going to share my top 5 Bible verses to read to help you sleep.

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

 

Psalm 3:4-5

“I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill.       Selah.

I lay down and slept,  I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.”

 

Matthew 11:28-29

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

 

Matthew 6:34

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

 

Psalm 91:1-2, 4
