at home valentine's day dates

At-Home Valentine’s Date Ideas

Valentine’s may look different this year, and that’s not a bad thing. There are so many fun and romantic things you and your partner can do right in the comfort of your own home.

1. HAVE A TASTING PARTY

Pick a theme and select a bunch of options to layout to taste. You can stick to a beverage theme, or venture out to desserts, cultural foods, seafood, etc. There are so many options to choose from.

2. DIY SIP AND PAINT NIGHT

This one is so fun. Get some canvases and paint from a craft store, if you don’t have them lying around the house like me. Freehand a design on the canvas with a pencil to paint. You may be able to get canvases from a Sip and Paint company sent to your house now since COVID. Pour your favorite drink, add some romantic music, and start painting.

3. PICNIC IN THE LIVING ROOM

Everyone loves a nice romantic picnic. Dim the lights, light some candles, set the coffee table for dinner for two. Don’t forget the floor cushions and music to set the tone. If you live in a warmer climate, you can definitely take this out to your yard. Cook together or order food to be delivered.

4. HAVE A GAME NIGHT

Nothing speaks romance than good ol’ competition. Gather your favorite games and battle it out. A great game to play with your partner is Pictionary. Use a large chalkboard/whiteboard and get to drawing. No matter the game, spice things up with cute rewards and consequences every time someone gets a point or losses a turn. A kiss, 60-second massage, etc. are great examples of rewards/consequences.

5. RECREATE YOUR FAVORITE DATE EXPERIENCE

Think back to your favorite date night and try to recreate it at home. Try to recreate as many details as possible so the two of you feel like you are back in time experiencing that time all over again.

6. AT HOME SPA DAY

Slip into some cozy robes and create an at-home spa experience. Facials, mani/pedicures, and massages. You can do it all yourself or hire a masseuse to come in for professional massages.

7. DINE IN THEATER

Who doesn’t love a dine in the movie, especially in the comfort of your own home? Pick a movie to watch and set up the living room for a cozy romantic dinner and movie. Add some candles to set the mood, and enjoy!
