Obedience, Self-Control, & Wisdom
For the 4th round of Christian characters for Godly living we are looking at the character traits of obedience, self-control, & wisdom.
Obedience
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work Titus 3:1
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17
Self-Control
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:23
And knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness. II Peter 1:6
Wisdom
Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance Proverbs 1:5
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalm 111:10
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; ⁷ he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity Proverbs 2:6-7
Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22
