How To Overcome Setbacks

How do you know when you are doing the right thing? Satan will always come and try to throw a curve ball at you to alter your path or way of thinking. All throughout the Bible this is evident. These Bible verses are great resources to use, meditate on, and recite to help you overcome these setbacks.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5

But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5

Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:9-11

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4;7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.bAnd the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:7-11
