New Website Launch| 2nd Blogiversary

Welcome to my new website!

I cannot believe that Uniquely Created, a Lifestyle Blog is 2 years old. I am just excited that I’m still excited about blogging.  When I first began, I said I would give myself three years. No matter what happened, I would stick it out for the first three years and if I didn’t enjoy it, I would stop only after three years. Well, I don’t see me stopping anytime soon. I truly love what I am doing, so much, I want this to be my full-time career (as I’ve said many times this year already).

For my new site design, I went with a WordPress theme called Daisy. This is not a sponsored post. I paid for the theme and installed it myself. I loved how many options they offered from layouts to fonts to colors, and I love how my website turned out! My previous theme was free and therefore did not offer much of variety. You got what you got and that was all. I did pay for my year one theme but decided to go for a cleaner look for year 2 which is why I switched. This theme, as you can see, is still very clean. It is also more welcoming and inviting.

Coming up with my new logo was a bit of a challenge. I used Google Drawing to create all of my new logos because it offered more fonts than Canva.  I normally go between the two for all of my images. My theme also used Google fonts, so I knew that the fonts I used in Google Drawing for my logos would also be available to use on my website.

I have to admit that I’ve slacked off when it came to my feature images. I knew I wanted to take photos specifically for the blog, but with everything going on in my life, well, I forgot. And even as we speak (well, as I type) it’s pouring outside, so my plans for a last minute photoshoot were washed out by the rain. You’ll have to stay tuned for those pics.

The last major update is my About Me page.  Although I love to write, writing specifically about myself is very challenging.  Heck, speaking about myself is challenging. But, I knew my About Me page didn’t really say much about me or my purpose (the blog’s purpose). And thus it was time, long overdue time, to spruce it up. So make sure you head over and check it out.

To keep with traditions, I am going to share my favorite blog post of year two.
