Secret To Creating Your Perfect Daily Routine

The Secret To Creating Your Perfect Daily Routine

Whether you realize it or not, you have a daily routine. The things you do every day to live your life ultimately make up your routine. That includes the things that are working for you and the bad habits that are not. When you have a routine that works for you and you can stick to, you have a perfect daily routine. Having the right routine will empower you and give you energy, while the wrong routine will drain you and keep you wanting to quit.

So, how do you create your perfect daily routine?

Ask yourself, how can I have the proper work/life balance?

Yes, even with your daily routine you need to think about ways to bring pleasure to your life while getting your tasks done. In what ways can you compensate yourself for a job well done? What is your ratio for work to reward? Your reward can be as simple as 10 minutes of relaxing music or 10 minutes playing your favorite game.

Layout everything that happens on your typical day

These are the things that must happen every day, no matter what. Also, jot down what time these things usually occur from start to finish.

Think about how you feel when you fulfill those tasks and events

If a task makes you feel calm, that may be a task you won’t need a reward for. If a task makes you feel like calling in for help, that’s definitely a task you’ll want to give yourself a reward for completing. Remember, your rewards should provide a big effect while taking very little of your time and energy.

Think about your level of energy at certain times of the day

During the day, track your energy level. Do you have high, middle, or low energy at key points of the day? If you have low energy in the morning, you are not going to want to plan a task that is strenuous during that time.

Plan it all out

You will take the information you’ve gathered about yourself and your task to plan out your day. When done correctly, you should be able to get things accomplished and stay happy. You should be able to fit everything in, and your day should run smoothly. The same goes for tasks that you dread to do, mak sure you plan for those to be done during a time when you have middle to high energy, you’ll be more incline to do them.

Of course, there will be days when something will come up. Something will always come up. Emergencies are bound to happen. However, following these simple steps to create your perfect daily routine will make sure you are still improving your days, even if only sticking to your routine half of the time.
