Love, Kindness, & Sincerity
We are back for our second round of Christian characters for Godly living. This week we are looking at the character traits of love, kindness, and sincerity.
Love
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. ¹¹ For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. I John 3:1,11
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. ¹⁰Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ¹⁹We love him, because he first loved us. I John 4:7,10,19
Kindness
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Galatians 5:22
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering Colossians 3:12
For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 117:2
Sincerity
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned I Timothy 1:5
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds Philemon 1:10
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently I Peter 1:22
