How Being Christian Impacts My Life

How Being Christian Impacts My Life | part 1

No one ever said being a Christian would be easy. Just look at what Christ himself had to go through. But what if I tell you, being a Christian isn’t as hard as some make it out to be.

Many people believe that because someone is a believer, their lives are limited. I often hear, oh you can’t do this because you’re Christian. Well, it’s not a factor of what I can’t do as a Christian. It’s all about what I no longer want to do because it no longer fits with my lifestyle.

In my twenties, I often jokingly said being a Christian was a twelve step process. That’s because it seemed as though as I grew in my personal walk with God, my desires to do certain things vanished one at a time. So me being me, I started counting the things I no longer wanted to do as well as the new desires I had that were in line with God’s will and said it was part of my twelve step process of walking closer to God.

Before we jump into how being a Christian impacts my daily life, let me clarify how being a believer has impacted my desires. Even though I have known Christ and believed in him since I was a child, I went through a period in my life during college where I needed to discover who God was for and to me. As I began to form a personal relationship with God, he began placing desires on my heart. At that time I didn’t realize it was him.  Some desires were to stop partaking in certain activities while other desires were to begin practicing certain activities.

So, how does being a Christian actually impact my daily life?

Of course, it was a struggle to figure out how to organize my thoughts. So to find out just how being a Christian impacts my life, watch the video below.
