The Best Semi-Homemade Shrimp Tacos Recipe

The Best Semi-Homemade Shrimp Tacos Recipe

It’s Tuesday and tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo!  I thought it would be the perfect day to share my favorite, semi-homemade shrimp taco recipe with you. This recipe literally takes just a few minutes and will have you thinking you’re at your favorite taco spot.

INGREDIENTS
  • Shrimp (small to medium)
  • Street Taco Tortillas
  • Southwest Salad Kit (comes with cheese and dressing)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon pepper
  • Garlic Powder

Start off by cleaning and seasoning your shrimp. I use salt, pepper, lemon pepper, and garlic powder to taste. It will also depend on how many shrimps you are cooking. One tortilla shell holds about 5 – 7 shrimp.

Pour 1 tbsp of olive oil into a skillet. Saute shrimp until done, about 5 – 6 minutes.

While shrimp are cooking, place tortilla shells into aluminum foil. Place into the oven and turn your oven on to 350. Once the oven is done preheating, take the shells out (my little trick and the timing is perfect).

Place the desired number of shells onto a plate. A serving is 3 -4 shells per person. Sprinkle a pinch full of the salad mix down the center of each shell. Add the shrimp on top of the salad mix. Add cheese. Drizzle the chipotle ranch dressing on top in a zig-zag motion.

Eat and enjoy! Yep, that’s it. Yummy tacos in about ten minutes!
