The 8 Best Ways to Empower Yourself

The 8 Best Ways to Empower Yourself

Happy National Women’s History Month!

Because of March being Women’s Month, I wanted my focus to be Strengthening and Empowering women.

So, for today, I’m sharing the best ways to empower yourself.

Female empowerment starts with you. In order to fix someone else’s crown, you need to make sure your own crown isn’t tilted.

Another reason female empowerment starts with you is that there are always other females looking up to you. If they see the strength you have radiating from yourself, they will strive for that same strength or even better.

Just how can you empower yourself? Keep reading to find out the best ways to empower yourself.

#1. Be Mindful of Your Present

Stop worrying about the past and the future and live for the present moment. Do your best in whatever you are doing now, so you know your future will reap the benefits of your hard work.

#2. Accept That You Are Not Perfect

Hey, guess what! Nobody is perfect and that includes you. Accept that you are not perfect and it’s okay to make mistakes.

#3. Be Kinder to You

It’s okay to be kind to yourself. Actually, it’s pretty important to be kind to yourself. Treat yourself like the queen you are.

#4. Let Go of Negative People

The last thing anyone needs around them are people always feeding negative thoughts about them in their ear. When you are trying to grow as a person, you need supportive people around you who are positive and who will hold you accountable at the same time.

#5. Stop Negative Self Talk

Just like you don’t need negative people around you, you don’t need your own negative words about yourself. Change how you talk about yourself by focusing on the positives.

#6. Fake It Til You Make It

Having confidence is the key to empowering yourself. If you don’t have the level of confidence you need, fake your confidence until it becomes real. If you are terrible at something, tell yourself you are awesome at it until you actually become awesome at it. Your mind controls everything you do, if you think it, eventually it will be.

#7. Have Faith

Have faith in God to put you in the right place, at the right time, with the right people and the right skills. But you also need to have faith in yourself that you are capable of anything you put forth the effort to. You have to believe in yourself.

#8. Repeat Affirmations

Repeat affirmations with “I can.”  Say them to yourself when you are struggling. Post them on your mirror as daily reminders. And believe that you are/can do what your affirmation tells you.
