Updated Spring Night Routine

Just like how you start your day determines how the rest of your day will flow. How you end your day can determine not only how you sleep but how the next day will run.

Having a good night routine is even more important than having a morning routine. When you have a night routine that works, it sets up your mornings to flow in a more structured way.

In other words, having a good night routine will lead to a stress-free morning.

When that routine stops working, just like your morning routine, update it to fit the changes in your life.

Here is my updated night routine that is working best for me. It allows me to go to bed and wake up stress-free.

Come Home From Work

As soon as I get home, I pet and greet my waiting cats. I love that they wait by the door for me when I come home.

Then I take off my jacket and shoes before heading to work.

Work On Content

Although I’m just getting home from work, it’s time to work again. This is when I work on my online content for According To Tish. I have a daily schedule set where I have specific tasks to work on each day of the week for my different platforms. Unfortunately, as an influencer, I don’t get any days off.

Cook Dinner/ Workout/ Eat

Cook dinner, working out, and eat are all together because I do them at the same time.

If I have to cook that night, I’ll put on my dinner and as it cooks I’ll do my quick workout routine then eat dinner.

If it’s a leftover night, I’ll work out and then warm up and eat my dinner.

For nights I don’t work out, I think you can figure out how that works, lol.

Shower & Wash Face

By this time, it’s time for bed. I try to shower at night because I always have an earlier start to my morning when I do. It’s like it makes me wake up with more energy and motivation to get my day started.

My face cleansing routine is the same at night as the morning with the exception of taking off my makeup with my Face Halo and using a different undereye cream.

I’m currently using the Rhodan and Fields Unblemish Acne Treatment system that I got as a PR package. I mentioned it in my Spring Morning Routine.

Prep For Next Day

This is probably the most important part of my routine to ensure a stress-free morning. This is when I get everything I need for the next day ready. I get my lunch, snacks, and breakfast ready for a quick and easy grab. I set my clothes aside so I don’t have to worry about finding something to wear. If I need to iron my clothes, I do it at this time too. And any items I need to take with me to work, I will put them in my bag or by the door for easy access and so I don’t forget them.

I also will put the cats in their room for the night. I had to add this step when I got my “baby” cat because he would get into to much stuff while I was sleep. This way I know where he is and he can’t hurt himself or get into trouble during the night.

Nighttime Devotion

For my night devotion, I follow whichever one of my seasonal Bible Reading Plans I am currently on. I am on my Spring Bible Reading Plan that I created to help motivate and encourage readers to live with intention. My nightly readings are the same for the corresponding day of the week.

After reading my nightly scriptures, I go to my “Keep Calm and Pray” board on Pinterest for my nighttime prayers. I have pinned prayers to recite nightly that are great for easing your mind for a relaxing nights rest.

Make sure you head over and follow me on Pinterest.

Go To Bed

At this point, I know everything I needed to do for the night is done, and all of my prep work for the morning is done. Since I’m already in the bed for my nightly devotion, all I need to do is turn off my lamp, close my eyes, and go to sleep.
